Community

We’ve been supporting local Charities and Voluntary organisations over many years now - just under £19,000 has been raised and donated to local causes through our efforts alone, with the figure totalling over £30,000 when we include support from the Yorkshire's Building Society's Charitable Foundation.

As a local family business it is important to be involved and engaged in our community. For this reason since opening the agency with Yorkshire Building Society at our office; we have been able to support over thirty five local charities and organisations with our own efforts and also the support of the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation.

This has been achieved through everything from creating vibrant and eye catching window displays, doing not one but two sponsored cycle rides (…the last of which was equivalent to cycling 64 times round the perimeter of the Island!) to hosting a variety of seasonal raffles. We are pleased to say this important work has now resulted in £30,680.50 of funds being distributed to great local causes!

A big thank you to everyone that has encouraged and participated in our fund raising over the years. Take a look at what you’ve helped us support so far...

And here's some information on Mikes recent charity ride, together with a poster that was displayed at the time:

‘In 2017 the senior partner cycled around the Isle of Wight perimeter and raised £5,006.65 for a national childrens charity - then when the first lockdown was announced, and knowing how much local charities would suffer from this…Michael set about putting his once a day exercise allowance to good use! He embarked upon a second cycle challenge of cycling 4000 miles in the year to raise £4000 for the Mountbatten Hospice. This was achieved by cycling daily for nine months in all weathers. The final amount raised has now been totalled at £9200.55 and so certainly proved the tough challenge was worth while!’
